A friend posted a link to this article this morning, and I really liked it. Because it's at Salon, you have to click through an advertisement to get to the article, but I thought it was worth it.

Thanks for that. Having just hit 230 lbs and spending the day looking up diet plans on the internet, that certainly made me feel a bit better. Thor also likes all kinds of women, but certainly his three primary relationships have been with really fat women, and I'm the thinnest. Good to know. But now that my belly's getting in my way, I think I need to do something for my own physical comfort, not for looks. That and the knees/ankles hurt all the time. I think they're groaning "take a load off, Annie."

Loved the article.
I especially liked how he pointed out that his preference was definitely not a fetish. I can identify with that 100%. I've had partners of all sizes but the gals who catch my eye first...

A friend once jokingly "decoded" the mystery of my preference: "Maug's tastes are not so hard to understand. Look who he spends most of his time with" He said, and held up my guitar to display it's very womanly proportions. He might be on to something.

Now, if we can just get the message out to all those lovely gals who think that there's something "wrong" with their shapes that there's not something additionally "wrong" with those of us who admire them.
