I have five little villagers, and they are just adorable.

First is a 32-year-old male called Kobbi. He has dark hair and I'm afraid he's rather musclebound. He's interested in farming and fishing, research, and, er, breeding.

Kalea is also 32, and is an Adept Scientist, which means she spend a lot of time researching stuff. I'm not sure what exactly she researches, but she helps the village get Tech Points, which are important. Kalea has red hair and appears to like polka dots.

29-year-old Rusha is blonde! She likes research but also knows a little bit about construction.

Next, there's 27-year-old Vava. Vava is into research and construction.

Then, of course, there's poor little Turi. Turi was on his way to becoming a seriously good farmer when he found a potion that smelled so sweet he couldn't help but drink it. All of a sudden, he was two years old again! Turi is five years old now, which answers the question, "Does this potion wear off, or what?" I guess he gets a whole new life!

Right now, my little villagers are struggling to understand the concept of planting and harvesting so they won't have to live off foraged berries. So all of them are working on researching the problem of farming, and they all take breaks when the food supply gets low to forwage. We hope to have the problem solved in a few months' time.

My husband just bought me a new Harvest Moon cartridge for my gameboy advance (I had one before, but then it got stolen), and on this one I get to be a girl and marry one of five guys while being a successful farmer (instead of being a boy and marrying one of five girls, or if I was really ambitious, the Harvest Goddess).

It's both incredibly obsessive and kind of enthralling. You're making me both glad and sorry I don't have a working PalmOS PDA anymore. :->

Please keep posting -- I love spectating on other people's games! And next year when Spore comes out, I am SOOO doomed.

I've played several Harvest Moons on the gameboy and I don't remember the marriage option, maybe I didn't get far enough (gave up on the last one when I forgot to bring my chickens in for the night and they all vanished *sob*)

It's a sim game that runs on a PDA. I can take my little people with me everywhere! I waxed rhapsodic on this topic earlier today. (http://telynor.livejournal.com/726852.html) ;)

Hee, sounds like you're really getting into this, I thought it looked good in your last post (seeing how much i enjoy the Harvest Moon game [livejournal.com profile] almeda mentioned), but I noticed the game continues in real time while you're not using it... given my usual attention span on these things and habit of forgetting things for several weeks, my poor villagers would likely be wobblnig around on zimmer frames when I got back to them! :)

You *can* pause the game if you want, so that it doesn't continue to run while you're sleeping. However, it's not automagically set to do that, so you'd have to resume it, then pause it again, etc.

Dammit, 4.1

Though when I do get round to getting a new palm (mine is playing up), I know which website I'll be hitting first! :)

I've played and won the game. If you want hints, let me know.

That sounds entirely Too Much Fun, and I don't dare even *look*. But then, I don't have a PDAS, so I'm probably safe... have fun. Sounds very addictive.
