Iron Bard...
Oct. 18th, 2005 12:20 amThe first round of Iron Bard (so puffy of me to assume there's likely to be a second, yes?) is now closed. No more requests will be taken after the twenty-sixth request, the one from
almeda. I was intending to stop the requests after twenty-five, but she slipped in, which is just fine with me.
Now, I will start working in earnest on every single one of these requests as a song, tomorrow. Because songwriting is not the kind of thing that happens in fifteen seconds and can be done with no preparation from a single flash of insight, I doubt seriously if requests will be processed in order. I do promise that I will either write your song by midnight on 31 December, 2005, or explain to you honestly why I did not or feel I cannot.
Thanks to everyone who submitted a request, and we'll see how the game goes before we start to talk about a second round. If this ends up being creatively productive for me, and if I think it's fun, I can see myself doing it again.
