Mean LJ User Targeting A Friend -- Warning, Sicko!

Warning/info - cadhla has had someone post *SERIOUSLY SICK* images of corpse mutilation (illegal, at least in the US) in comments to one of her entries!

The images need to stay up as evidence for the moment. I'm not linking to the entry, anyone who really wants to see hirself (be warned, really sick yuck factor) - it's in Cahdla's lj entry of 14.12. title "Ahem".

Some of us are worried, trying to support Cadhla and get the Sicko off LJ. This warning is part of that effort.

There is also some ground for suspicion that this is specifically targeted at her - Sicko's journal was created on 16 December, at the time checked Sicko had posted 10 comments (which is the number in Cadhla's LJ - 9 sick pics, one text only) and has only Cadhla and a couple of her friends, except for one other ID who writes so much like him that it could well be alternate LJ of hir's, friended.

I'm not posting Sicko's lj user name in a searchable format - another of Cadhla's friends posted about it, as well as raising Cadhla's attention by separate comment in the post, and before she f-locked her post, she got targeted too - an obvious element of attention seeking.

If you're an LJ user and want to ban Sicko, go to http://www.livejournal.com/admin/console/ and enter "ban_set touch of love" - with all spaces in the username removed, and a k added to it at the end.

I myself have not done so - Smac & I are idly wondering whether it is searchable who banned a given lj user.

ETA: Looks like other warning posts on this topic have been friendslocked, so if you're not on the friends list of other folks who are talking about this, feel free to comment here. However, please refrain from using Sicko's LJ name in a lj user="name" - type link, as name links are searchable. He friended one of cadhla's friends who did this, and I suspect he's a serial troll who wants to hurt cadhla as much as possible. Assholes who do this kind of thing often target their victims' friends.

User banned. I went and looked at those pictures - well, the first one, and a quick skim at a few others before going elsewhere feeling ill. That is seriously sick, and they get worse as they go down.

That means going to their own journal. Reading the latest post there may give some satisfation: sicko is apparently under threat of having LJ account deleted. Do NOT read further down, just flag for offensive content. Believe me, the pictures lower justify it, and you don't want to see them. I wondered about also flagging for nude images of a minor, only it's a dead minor... don't go there.

I'd also suggest people use IP address logging (It's not 100% fool proof), but it's one more link in a chain that will let you identify the miscreants who enjoy doing this kind of shock postings.

Also the images in cadhla's journal are being posted from a photobucket account. I'd suggest reporting this as a Photobucket Terms of Service violation. (http://photobucket.com/terms) They should be able to track the IP the photos were uploaded from.

It's also interesting to note that the only account to list the image poster as a "friend" is "conditor maloru"... Might be a badly hidden alt...

Just for the sake of accuracy, the sequence was: Left a note for S. in case she didn't check comments constantly and hadn't seen the images. Got friended by the troll. Banned it and then put up a friends-locked PSA to warn friends to watch out for the creep, in case it jumped to other journals. The post was a reaction to having been friended, which came from posting the "heads-up" comment to S.
