This Saturday: EFDSS May Fete!

I know this is short notice, but it's been a busy couple of weeks; please forgive me.

Tomorrow, Saturday 20 May, the English Folk Dance and Song Society will hold its May Fete at Cecil Sharp House. There will be plenty of stuff to do, lots of dancing, singing and music, plenty of opportunities to get involved, and entry is free!

The May Fete runs from 12:30-5:00! Hope to see some of you there!

You know, a few months (or even a few weeks) of notice about events like this might possibly enable those of us who book ther weekends up way in advance to keep a slot open for them.

I do apologise.

I didn't even know the event existed until a month or so ago, and I've been so busy with other things that I kept forgetting to post a notice about it. It didn't even occur to me to do so until this morning; that should give you some idea of how scattered I am.

I am very sorry that I didn't let you know earlier.

It was a mock-sulk, honest!

I'd have gone to it if I werent' hosting and open-house for doll list members this weekend.

As it turns out, I'm expecting a maximum of five over the course of the weekend, but some on Saturday, some on Sunday and one for both days... so not much of a turn out.

And for this I get to spend this evening doing housework and tidying away stuff I should have dealt with weeks/months ago

Hi, Gwen, I just befriended you.. I live in the US, and am a neighbor of Scott's and have enjoyed your comments about living in the UK. I also knit and can't wait to read about your knitting. I am a big Sci Fi fan and am currently hooked on the Firefly DVD.
