Safe in Sligo
Aug. 28th, 2006 01:06 pmWe arrived in Sligo last night a little bit after 7:00, and we're staying with cousins here.
Yesterday, we visited Knowth and Newgrange, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and Trim Castle. I took a lot of photographs which I'll share when I get some time. Today, we actually slept in for the first time in over a week for
sailingharper and me, and we've been up about two hours now, puttering around the house and having a relaxed breakfast with
filceolaire's cousin Noel.

I'll tease you with one photograph of yesterday's trip to Newgrange, but I'll save the writing about those events for a little bit later, since today's journey into Sligo to do some shopping and then maybe to one of the dozens of megalithic sites in the area will need to get started soon. It's a beatufiul day in Sligo: right now the sun is shining, but an hour ago there was a torrential rainstorm for about a minute. We're informed this is completely normal and not to worry.
